Play Gloucestershire is currently funded mainly by grants, with some funding coming from sponsorship and private donations. Our main source of funding is the Big Lottery Fund and we also receive funding from Gloucestershire County Council and Town and District Councils across the county (see our Sponsors).
However, the Big Lottery funding came to an end in April 2011 and Council funding is being squeezed hard in the current economic circumstances. While we have built up excellent relationships with our partners in local government and hope to continue to deliver our service for them, we need to broaden our financial support. To this end we are applying for grants from a wide range of private trusts and charities and we have launched our own Friends scheme – more about this on the website very soon. We are also looking for supporters in the business community.
