Play Gloucestershire is a Registered Charity, established in May 2007. Our Play Ranger teams work in urban parks and rural green spaces, providing free, open access play, sports and arts and crafts to school-aged children across the six county districts of Cheltenham, Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury.
Our seven contracted staff combine play delivery with strategic development and our team of Young Play Activists help to spread the ‘Get Out & Play!’ message in their local communities.
In the year to April 2009, 8,334 children had used our Play Ranger service at 31 different sites.
